Swedish Embassy joins ‘#RespetoNaman’ campaign exhibit against gender-based violence

-

THIS November, Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo, UN Women, The Embassy of Sweden in Manila, SPARK! Philippines, and Empower are collaborating for #RespetoNaman, a nationwide campaign against gender-based violence.

The goal of the project is to spark a sustainable movement across the nation to eliminate all forms of gender-based violence in the Philippines through campaigning for awareness, empowerment, and policy. As inspired by the global #MeToo, and #TimesUp Movement and Thailand’s #DontTellMeHowToDress Movement, it will focus on bringing the issue into the mainstream and empowering women to rise up against all forms of genderbased violence, particularly on rape and sexual harassment.
