Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, which seeks to create a Comprehensive Home Financing Program (CHFP).
to deliver housing for its people, government must provide affordable and long-term sources of home loans for the millions of homeless Filipinos, especially the low-income earners,” Charlie Gorayeb, Creba’s national chairman explained.
The program will entitle all income-earning Filipinos to fixed, low-interest, long-term housing loans whether or not they are members of the Social Security System (SSS), Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), or the Pag-lBIG Fund.
Creba’s support to the proposed bill stems from its 5-point agenda for housing, a package of suggested reforms collectively designed to accelerate annual housing production to the level of 500,000 units in order to build a total of 10 million homes in a span of 20 years.
