GLOBAL technology giant SAP recently showcased customers in Southeast Asia who have embarked on a journey towards becoming an Intelligent Enterprise. Even as each country in the region develops at a different pace and continues to face specific challenges in terms of digital maturity, the economic stimulus continues to grow just the same.

With over 45 years of experience, and expertise in 25 industries, SAP is in a unique position to support customers in Southeast Asia on their journey to succeed in the digital economy.

“The digital ecosystem in Southeast Asia continues to grow and mature, presenting immense opportunities for organizations to harness the power of data,” said Claus Andresen, president and managing director of SAP Southeast Asia.

“For 29 years, SAP has helped more than 10,000 companies in Southeast Asia adopt digital innovations. Today, we continue to expand our innovation portfolio in new ways, allowing our customers and partners to innovate with purpose and confidence. We are glad that companies continue to choose SAP as their trusted partner on their journey to become intelligent enterprises.”

In a recent media tour of the Laguna manufacturing plant of Tanduay Distillers Inc., SAP demonstrated how the internationally awarded diversified beverage company has revitalized their business processes with SAP S/4HANA.

With 49,000 barrels in its Laguna plant alone, and a total of 125,000 barrels combined in their plants across the nation, Tanduay expects more efficiency with the help of SAP, said Helen Perez, the plant’s quality assurance engineer.

Other high profile clients of SAP in the Philippines include JG Summit, one of the largest and most diversified Filipino conglomerates which also recently announced their deployment of SAP S/4HANA to spur new growth areas for JG Summit’s main corporate arm, subsidiaries, and affiliates in the country and across the region.

Globe Telecom, a leading full- service telecommunications company, has also recently signed a three- year deal with SAP, for business suite platform and service solutions aimed at digitalizing its financial processes, supporting real- time decision making, and supporting agile environment.

“It is our purpose to help enterprises in the Philippines run better and truly grow, not just in the country but in the world. In the Philippines, we look forward to fully supporting industry icons such as Tanduay, JG Summit and Globe, whose vision to become intelligent enterprises will enable them to succeed in the Philippines and around the world,” Edler Panlilio, managing director of SAP Philippines, further noted.
