SAP supports enterprise journey of SEA customers

GLOBAL technology giant SAP recently showcased customers in Southeast Asia who have embarked on a journey towards becoming an Intelligen­t Enterprise. Even as each country in the region develops at a different pace and continues to face specific challenges in terms of digital maturity, the economic stimulus continues to grow just the same.

With over 45 years of experience, and expertise in 25 industries, SAP is in a unique position to support customers in Southeast Asia on their journey to succeed in the digital economy.

“The digital ecosystem in Southeast Asia continues to grow and mature, presenting immense opportunit­ies for organizati­ons to harness the power of data,” said Claus Andresen, president and managing director of SAP Southeast Asia.

In a recent media tour of the Laguna manufactur­ing plant of Tanduay Distillers Inc., SAP demonstrat­ed how the internatio­nally awarded diversifie­d beverage company has revitalize­d their business processes with SAP S/4HANA.

With 49,000 barrels in its Laguna plant alone, and a total of 125,000 barrels combined in their plants across the nation, Tanduay expects more efficiency with the help of SAP, said Helen Perez, the plant’s quality assurance engineer.

Other high profile clients of SAP in the Philippine­s include JG Summit, one of the largest and most diversifie­d Filipino conglomera­tes which also recently announced their deployment of SAP S/4HANA to spur new growth areas for JG Summit’s main corporate arm, subsidiari­es, and affiliates in the country and across the region.

Globe Telecom, a leading full- service telecommun­ications company, has also recently signed a three- year deal with SAP, for business suite platform and service solutions aimed at digitalizi­ng its financial processes, supporting real- time decision making, and supporting agile environmen­t.
