Las Piñas turns over 100 e-trikes to toda

TO pro­vide liveli­hood as­sis­tance, Las Piñas City Mayor Mel Aguilar, rep­re­sented by her daugh­ter April Aguilar, turned over 100 elec­tronic tri­cy­cle (e-trike) units to se­lect tri­cy­cle driv­ers and op­er­a­tors as­so­ci­a­tion (TODA) dur­ing a turnover cer­e­mony held on Nov. 27. Ben­e­fi­cia­ries of the e- trike units are members of seven TODA ply­ing the routes within pub­lic el­e­men­tary, se­nior high school and the city- run Dr. File­mon Aguilar In­for­ma­tion Tech­nol­ogy Train­ing In­sti­tute ( DFCAITTI). Mayor Aguilar en­cour­aged the driv­ers to take ad­van­tage of the op­por­tu­nity of own­ing a brand new ve­hi­cle as their source of liveli­hood that would also care for the en­vi­ron­ment.Among the agree­ments be­tween the city and TODA in­cludes the pro­vi­sion of free rides to all pub­lic schools and DFCAITTI stu­dents along their route.
