Las Piñas turns over 100 e-trikes to toda
TO provide livelihood assistance, Las Piñas City Mayor Mel Aguilar, represented by her daughter April Aguilar, turned over 100 electronic tricycle (e-trike) units to select tricycle drivers and operators association (TODA) during a turnover ceremony held on Nov. 27. Beneficiaries of the e- trike units are members of seven TODA plying the routes within public elementary, senior high school and the city- run Dr. Filemon Aguilar Information Technology Training Institute ( DFCAITTI). Mayor Aguilar encouraged the drivers to take advantage of the opportunity of owning a brand new vehicle as their source of livelihood that would also care for the environment.Among the agreements between the city and TODA includes the provision of free rides to all public schools and DFCAITTI students along their route. The etrike drivers must provide rides to all public school and DFCAITTI students along their route.
