RIVERA brothers, Milo and Este­fano, led their teams to vic­tory in the Petron Philip­pine En­durance Chal­lenge 8 Oras ng Pilip­inas held last week­end at the Clark In­ter­na­tional Speed­way in Pam­panga.

With more than 30 cars par­tic­i­pat­ing, last week­end’s grid was the big­gest ever for a lo­cal en­durance race, an in­di­ca­tion that lo­cal mo­tor sports is on an up­swing.

The Honda Civic FD of Este­fano and his team had to work

Milo Rivera, Michael Tua­son, Louie Ramirez and Ferdie Ong of TRS 2 team driv­ing the FV1 pro­to­type car posted the most num­ber of laps and won the Open class awards.

An­other big win­ner was the dream team of Car Porn Rac­ing and Parts Pro of Angie King, Car­los An­ton, Al­lan Uy and Tyson Sy. They all shared the new Mazda Mi­ata and won FM1 and FM2 classes for a third over­all.

Team Au­top­er­for­mance Vic­tor Hard­ware took sec­ond over­all af­ter their BMW M3 suf­fered en­gine trou­ble that ne­ces­si­tated a com­plete over­haul overnight.

Team man­ager and lead driver Fran­cis Aguila, Ste­fan Ramirez, SJ Park and Ge­orge Apaci­ble, though they threaded lightly for the whole race, took over­all in the 2018 En­durance Cham­pi­onship.
