Lady Stags crush EAC in NCAA volleyball
I made SAN Sebastian College-Recoletos snatched the solo third spot after pounding Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) in straight sets, 25-19, 25-20, 26-24, in Season 94 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) women’s volleyball tournament on Friday at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan City.
The Lady Stags leaned on Joyce Sta. Rita and Nikka Dalisay to break a deadlock with College of St. Benilde and emerged No. 3 with an improved 4-1 record.
Seasoned hitter Sta. Rita notched a team-high 11 points, all coming
10 markers built on nine spikes.
The Stags also scored their second straight win following a loss to defending champion and unbeaten leader Arellano University.
Shannel Requerme chipped in nine points while Mary Rhose Dapol added eight markers for the Recto-based team.
Jaylene May Lumbo had a gamebest
day tied for 10. 14 points for the cellardwelling Lady Generals but it was not enough to prevent them from absorbing their fifth loss in as many games.
