Indian prime minister condemns Jolo attack
HIS Excellency the Prime Minister of the Republic of India, Shri Narendra Modi has sent a signed message of condolence to President Rodrigo Duterte on the recent terrorist incident in Jolo, Sulu happened on January 27.
“I wish to express my deep condolences at the loss of lives and injuries that many Filipinos sustained in the terrorist attack in Jolo,” the letter read.
“Violence and terrorism have no place in democratic and pluralistic societies such as ours. India condemns such acts of terrorism in the strongest terms and is ready to work with the Philippines in all possible ways to counter this global menace.”
The deadly twin blasts at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cathedral of Jolo was carried out by a pair of suicide bombers. This resulted to dozens people killed and over 100 others wounded in the blasts.
