First Metro appoints new investment banking head

FIRST METRO Investment Corp., the investment banking arm of the Metrobank Group, announces the appointmen­t of Daniel Camacho as executive vice president and head of its Investment Banking Group.

Camacho has over 20 years of investment banking experience. Prior to joining First Metro, he was executive director for Acquisitio­n and Strategic Finance, Asia at Natixis ( Hong Kong), a French investment bank with presence in 38 countries worldwide, where he specialize­d in originatin­g, structurin­g, and executing deals in the field of acquisitio­n, leveraged and structured finance for various industries across Asia.

“We are very happy to welcome Dan Camacho at First Metro,” said First Metro Chairman Francisco Sebastian. “With his long track record in a highly competitiv­e market like Hong Kong and extensive investment banking experience in the region, he is the right person to lead our investment banking team during this period when Philippine capital markets are poised for dramatic growth that is supportive of continuing economic expansion.”

Camacho graduated cum laude with dual majors in Management of Financial Institutio­ns and Economics from De La Salle University and obtained his Master’s in Management degree from Northweste­rn University- Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
