POLICE OFFICER SHOT DEAD

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Calamba City: A police officer was shot dead in Barangay Mayapa, Calamba City Sunday night. Lt. Ramil Gonzalez had just attended the police Officers’ Basic Course training inside Camp Vicente Lim when he was gunned down by a retired policeman. The victim had just left the camp around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday when a certain Jujardin Velasco fired at him. He was rushed to the Global Care Hospital in the city but died while undergoing treatment: Velasco was also wounded and rushed to Cabrini Hospital in Sto. Tomas, Batangas. Investigators have yet to establish the motive.
