VP to release drug report next week
VICE President Maria Leonor Robredo will share with the public her “discoveries” on the government’s war on drugs next week.

The vice president earlier bared that her report would contain her recommendations and findings during her brief stint as co-chairman of the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD).
“Ito, actually report siyadoon sa 18 days kosa ICAD, anoiyong atingmga (This is actually a report on my 18 days at ICAD, what are our) recommendations. Moving forward, anoiyongnakitanatin nakailangangi- improve, ano iyongnakitanatinnakailangang palitan,anoiyongnakitanatin natinginnatindapatgawinpara lalongmapa…paramapabuti iyongkampanyakontrasailegal nadroga (what we think needs to be improved, what needs to be changed, what are the suggestions to improve the campaign against illegal drugs),” Robredo said during the opening of a multimedia exhibit on the war on drugs campaign at the Commission on Human Rights on Tuesday.
The exhibit dubbed “Istoryang Pag-asa (Stories of Hope) Special Edition” features photos and personal accounts of rehabilitated drug users, orphans and widows of extrajudicial killings and human rights workers.
“[I]tonamaniyongnag-koconvey ng message nasaiba’t ibangmgasektor,iba’tibangmga stakeholders, nasausapinngkarapatang (The messages conveyed here are from various sectors, stakeholders in the issue of human rights, the government must be there to protect each citizen),” Robredo said.
“Doonnamansanalabagiyong karapatangpantao,dapatiyong pamahalaandiniyongmag-aassure sabawatisanaiyong hustisyanandiyanparasakanila (For those whose rights have been violated, the government must assure everyone that justice will be served),” she added.
