EULA Valdez considers it a dream come true to work with Christopher de Leon. The iconic actor plays her husband in “Love Thy Woman,” the newest afternoon drama coming soon on the Kapamilya Network.

Even as a young girl, Eula was already fond of watching old movies. One that really struck her was the Lino Brocka classic, “TinimbangKaNgunitKulang,” starring Bro Bo (Christopher’s moniker among movie denizens from his nickname, Boyet).

“As a young girl, I would always imagine that one day I will be able to work with a good actor like Bro. Bo. I’d always think what would it be like doing a scene with him,” said Eula at the recent mediacon of “Love Thy Woman.”

A big fan of local movies, she mentioned that she even got to watch the old movies of Bro Bo’s parents.

“I was always thrilled with the idea of working in a scene with an award-winning actor like him since I know it’s going to be a learning experience,” she said.

In the afternoon series produced by Dreamscape, Eula plays the first wife of Boyet, a Chinese tycoon. But she is aware her husband has another wife (played by Sunshine Cruz).

Playing Eula’s daughter is Yam Concepcion as Dana while Kim Chiu plays the daughter of Sunshine.

Conflict ensues when Kim falls for David (Xian Lim) when Dana goes into a coma after a car accident.

“Love Thy Woman” airs on February 10 on ABS-CBN.

Jed Madela is on Cloud 9 after winning the Male Recording Artist of the Year plum at the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Music.

This was Jed’s seventh from the award-giving body, and he is grateful for the accolade.

Although he already won many awards, Jed admits he still gets excited whenever he gets nominated.

“It feels good to be recognized for your good work. There a lot of good singers in the industry and to be nominated is a big honor already. The award inspires me to work harder,” added Jed.

“Honestly, to be nominated already excites me. I am happy to be recognized. And if I win, it is a way of affirming to myself that I am doing right. It means people like what I do, most especially award-giving bodies who gave me the recognition,” said Jed.

The award-winning singer also expressed interest to do musical collaborations.

“I want to try different combinations with other artists. I would like to work with Iñigo Pascual. Another thing I’d like to do is to direct the concert of another singer.”

Jed is doing a pre-Valentine’s show with Angeline Quinto at the Marriot Hotel Grand Ballroom on February 12.

Who are the most traveled celebrities? The Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA) formed a three-person committee to come up with a list based on the stars’ social media posts for the last two years.

Based on this criteria, the following emerged as the 10 most traveled Pinoy celebrities — Tim Yap, Heart Evangelista, Lovi Poe, Catriona Gray, Pia Wurtzbach, Vicky Belo, Bea Alonzo, Nadine Lustre, Liza Soberano and Maine Mendoza.

“These days, social media has become one of the best tools for the travel and tourism industry. Pictures and videos are the best ways to entice people to visit a place.

Celebrities, whether they realize it or not, do a lot to boost visits to different locations within and outside the country. Their fans aspire to go where they go. Moreover, the public also gets to find out more about the places they visit. They provide both the glamour factor and the reassurance that the place is safe to visit,” PTAA president Ritchie Tuano explained.

“Anyone can take a picture of their travels and just post it online, but these stars really draw in their followers by sharing their candid moments during their journey. They don’t just go to the place to have their picture taken. They enjoy each and every place wholeheartedly. They also go out of their way to interact with the locals,” he said.

PTAA is hosting a three-day Travel Tour Expo 2020 at the SMX Convention Center from February 7 to 9, now the 27th year of the highly anticipated event.
