EX-PCSO OFFICIAL NAMED NEW ECOZONE CHIEF
ZAMBOANGA CITY: President Rodrigo Duterte appointed Raul Regondola as the new chairman and administrator of the Zamboanga Economic Zone and Freeport Authority (Zezpa) during formal rites last Thursday in Malacañang. Regondola, a native of this city, was the former Zamboanga Peninsula regional manager of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO). A prominent leader of various civic and private organizations and a professor at the Universidad de Zamboanga, he holds a master’s degree in business administration. Before his stint as PCSO Region 9 chief, Regondola was branch manager of the local Land Bank of the Philippines. Top city officials, including Mayor Maria Isabelle
Climaco-Salazar, Rep. Manuel Dalipe Jr. and Councilor Crisanto de la Cruz, commended the appointment of Regondola as Zezpa manager. They said he is “widely known for his strong leadership and credibility,” and pledged to extend their all-out support and cooperation during his six-year term as chairman and administrator of the ecozone and freeport. The President reappointed another Zamboangueno, Jose Suan, as member of the Zezpa board of directors.
