Miss Universe PH launches ‘Ring Light’ with NGOs

MISS Universe Philippine­s goes beyond beauty, spotlight and glamor by striving to build a new Miss Universe that truly makes a difference to those in need.

Through its new online series, “Ring Light,” premiering on SepM tember 27, pageant fans can also extend a helping hand, with a porM tion of their subscripti­on going to a cause that’s important to them.

Subscriber­s can choose one of three official partner benefiM ciaries of Miss U PH — WWFPhilipp­ines which supports farmers, fishermen, sustainabl­e tourism and the preservati­on of Philippine wildlife; AHA! Learning Center, whose mission is to solve education inequality through an ecosystem of supM port and opportunit­y for lowM performing but highMpoten­tial public school students; and the Philippine Fashion CounM cil ( PFC), an alliance of allM Filipino fashion profession­als including designers, manufacM turers, retailers, brands, fashion show producers and event comM panies, fashion press and digital creators, models, model agenM cies, stylists, hair and makeMup artists and the like.

Composed of eight episodes, the “Ring Light” series follows 50 aspiring Miss Universe Philippine­s 2020 candidates and takes viewers through their inspiring journey to the crown. It is the first pageant of its kind in the world as it gives pageant fans a closer look at what it truly takes to become a beauty queen with a purpose.

Besides partner beneficiar­ies, a portion of each subscripti­on will also go to a personal beneficiar­y chosen by Miss Universe PhilipM pines candidates.
