P&G partners with Manila Water for Safe PH campaign
DESPITE the many hardships, the Filipino resilience has proven to be stronger than ever as seen in this Covid-19 pandemic.
Asserting that the bayanihan spirit still prevails is the teaming up of companies and institutions to protect the local communities through the power of proper handwashing and sanitation.
In May, P&G Safeguard declared its vision to work toward a Safe Philippines by working with different institutions for Filipinos to have access to proper hand hygiene.
From partnering with the Red Cross to protect frontliners, to providing handwashing access to malls nationwide, and partnering with the Department of Health ( DoH) for the BIDA Solusyon program, Safeguard continues to be at the frontlines in keeping the nation safe with the promise of 99.9 percent germ protection with its wide range of disinfecting products.
In conjunction with Quezon City Day in August, Safeguard teamed up with Manila Water Foundation (MWF) by providing thousands of bar soaps and educational materials on proper handwashing to prevent the spread or transmission of Covid-19.
This is in coordination of a larger response of MWF’s Wash in Pandemic — a set of programs which strengthen access to Wash infrastructure, wide dissemination of info-education
The program plans were first presented to Mayor Joy Belmonte, making Quezon City the first partner city. Areas with high foot traffic sites, the Covid-19 isolation centers and select Super Health Centers around the city were recommended by the mayor’s team as locations in dire need of
handwashing facilities.
Those in low- income families, PWDs and senior citizens in special lockdown communities received the 2,000 hygiene kits with Safeguard bar soaps.
