AIM, PLDT-Smart partner against cyberattacks
THE Asian Institute of Management’s (AIM) School of Executive Education and Lifelong Learning and the Philippines’ fully integrated telecom and digital services provider, PLDT, with its wireless subsidiary, Smart Communications, have partnered to offer an online cybersecurity executive course. The deal was sealed on September 1 via a virtual memorandum of agreement with Manuel Pangilinan, PLDT chairman of the board, and Jikyeong Kang, AIM president and dean, as signatories and Angel Redoble. PLDT chief information security officer, and Alberto Mateo, Jr., AIM School of Executive Education and Lifelong Learning head, as witnesses.
The online course tackles cybersecurity through three dimensions: leadership, management and technology. It is designed for organizations and businesses with a presence in cyberspace, specifically for managers and leaders, who deal with cybersecurity challenges at the operational level, and executives, who deal with strategic cybersecurity issues and policies.
The course will give participants an in-depth understanding of the importance of an organizationwide approach to cybersecurity and enable them to understand, assess and address the impact of cyber risk to develop strategies and
policies to ensure their organizations’ cybersecurity.
The cybersecurity course will be delivered over 10 half-days via Zoom video conference by the Asian Institute of Management and PLDT-Smart starting October
2020. The program is open to the public. Executives and managers should register for the course if they want to learn how to build cyber-resilient organizations from renowned cybersecurity experts and leading practitioners.
