Times forum tackles future of advertising
CHARTING a path for the advertising industry in the country after the coronavirus pandemic will be explored in a virtual forum today, September 8, organized by The ManilaTimes.
The discussion will be spearheaded by some of the country’s renowned industry leaders, including BBDO Guerrero Chairman
and Chief Creative Officer and 4As Philippines Chairman David Guerrero, Cofounder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Intersections Communications Inc.
Gladys Rondina-Basinillo, and Asian Institute of Management (AIM) associate professor Richard Cruz.
The two-hour forum will be broadcast live from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on TheManilaTimes’ official Facebook page.
Guerrero became a creative director at age 34 before starting his own agency, BBDO Guerrero, at 37.
The company has since established itself as one of the best in the field, garnering recognition here and abroad, including being the only local agency to win the Grand Prix for Effectiveness at the Asia Pacific AdFest and the WARC Prize for Asian Strategy.
BBDO Guerrero also made The Gunn Report’s list of the top 50 creative agencies in the world.
Meanwhile, Rondina-Basinillo has 30 years of experience in communications planning and buying and is a known creative media expert.
She was the general manager and CEO of Carat Philippines and also the first Chief Growth Officer of Starcom, Spark Foundry and Liquid Thread.
Last March, Basinillo founded her own media agency, Intersections Communications Inc.
Cruz has expertise in marketing, entrepreneurship, innovation and finance and currently teaches degree programs at the AIM.
He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Management Engineering from Ateneo de Manila University and attained his master’s degree in Business Administration at AIM.
Cruz is also well-versed in telecommunications, energy, real estate, hospitality, fast-moving consumer goods, chemical manufacturing, information technology- enabled services, software, fintech, education and logistics.
The award-winning creative directors and marketing managers will present situational briefs, strategic plans and campaign roadmaps for plotting the path of advertising in the country.
TheManilaTimes’ President and CEO Dante “Klink” Ang 2nd will serve as the moderator of the forum.
The forum is presented with the Financial Executive Institute of the Philippines and the Management Association of the Philippines.
