Go on Monday said the government must ensure that the poor and vulnerable should have access to the vaccine once it is available as the country actively participates in vaccine collaborations around the world.

“We must keep the enemy at bay until a vaccine arrives. Hindi dapat bumagsak ang ating health care system (Our healthcare system must not collapse),” he stressed.

We should first stop the spread of Covid-19 so we can go back to our normal lives),” he added.

The senator said that as the government collaborates with other countries on the testing and sourcing of Covid vaccine, officials should see to it that no one would be left behind once a drug become available.

“Sigu rad uh in po nat ingwa lang ma papa bay a an, lalo na an gm gap in aka-n an gang ail an gan( We will ensure that nobody will be left behind, especially those who need it most),” Go emphasized.

The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases created a Sub-Technical Working Group on Vaccine Development headed by the Department of Science and Technology.

The group pursues vaccine collaborations with various bilateral and multilateral partners for the rapid development of and equitable access to Covid-19 vaccines.
