Marian Rivera: Womom in love — every day
AS a hands-on mom, Marian RiveraDantes naturally wants only the best for her adorable children, Zia and Ziggy. At their age, she knows that the best possible nutrition is what they need to grow up strong, healthy and smart.
Praised for her decision to give up plum showbiz projects and prioritize her kids as soon as the pandemic broke out, she initially found it difficult to serve them the healthy dishes she grew up given the lockdowns. Of course, nutritious food always calls for fresh ingredients, the celebrity homemaker was left wanting in the kitchen.
“Pero nung una lang yon,” she quipped in her famously relatable way at a digital event. She discovered WalMart Supermarket’s online services along the way, and now is not just a satisfied fan and customer, but also its official spokesperson.
“Talagang napaka-easy mamili dito
— mapa-online or in-store man, ma-i-in love ka talaga!” she guaranteed.
Inspiring the chain’s latest campaigned, dubbed “Love Everyday,” the
36-year-old GMA Network star is head over heels with the fresh produce delivered to her home every time she decides to shop online, and lately, on site.
Anytime and very easily, she can whip up her already famous menudo (her husband Dingdong Dantes’ favorite, which she also served to frontliners at the height of the lockdowns) with all the goodness of fresh tomatoes, carrots and green bell pepper. In place of her party spaghetti every now and then, her go to dish is her creamy broccoli pasta, which is a hit with picky little eaters.
At the launch, Rivera explained how the company sources fresh fruits and vegetables as farm-to-store and local produce advocates. A win-win situation as it is, carrying local produce further allows them to keep price affordable across their supermarkets. There’s certainly lots of love going around even before all the greens and good stuff get to the stores.
And that’s why, this happy “womom” can say, “Kaya nga in love ako every day!”
