AFTEr emerging as “The Clash” Season 3 grand champion, Power Diva Jessica Villarubin wins another bout, only this time it’s something more personal — her insecurity.

The singer recently released her debut single under GMA Music titled “Ako Naman.”

Penned by Asia’s romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista, the song is reminiscent of her journey from being a simple Cebuana girl with big dreams to now a rising Kapuso performer. It was also her winning piece during the grand finals of “The Clash.”

Besides this new song, Villarubin became the talk of the town when she also revealed her new look and confidently admitted she underwent beauty enhancements to achieve it.

“This is what I wanted to do with myself. So doubted myself dati.”

Villarubin said she tried to have a positive mindset despite the bullying and achieved it by focusing on

Ikasi I want to be more confident with myself, kasi naco-conscious ako on how I look.” With the help of celebrity doctor Vicky Belo and her clinic, Belo Medical Group, Villarubin had rhinoplasty and enhancement on her eyes and face.

“Ngayon I feel like I’m a new Jessica na super confident. Very much aware of the backlash she might get, especially in the conservative Philippines where plastic surgery is still a taboo, the singer shared she had to also prepare emotionally before getting her procedure. That’s what I am focusing on,” Villarubin ended.

“Ako Naman” is now available on Spotify, YouTube Music, Apple Music, and other digital streaming platforms worldwide.
