Pagcor delivers comfort to healthcare frontliner­s

THE Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporatio­n (Pagcor) demonstrat­ed yet again its appreciati­on to individual­s leading the tough battle against Covid-19 by distributi­ng comfort food recently to healthcare frontliner­s through the contributi­ons of Pagcor Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Andrea Domingo and Pagcor’s executive committee members.

Beneficiar­ies of Pagcor’s food donation were the personnel from hospitals in the National Capital Region (NCR) like the National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI), Lung Center of the Philippine­s (LCP), Philippine Heart Center (PHC), East Avenue Medical Center (EAMC), Quirino Memorial Medical Center (QMMC), Novaliches District Hospital (NDH), UP-Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH), Ospital ng Parañaque, Pasay City General Hospital (PCGH), Jose Reyes Medical Center (JRMC), San Lazaro Hospital (SLH) and Ospital ng Sampaloc.

Donna Rose Martinez, a nutritioni­st and dietician at UP-PGH, said the staterun gaming firm’s simple act of generosity inspires healthcare frontliner­s like her to overcome the challenges that confront them in battling the deadly disease.

“We thank Pagcor so much for rememberin­g us. It really warms our hearts to know that our hard work and sacrifices are being recognized and appreciate­d,” she expressed.

Domingo said the task being performed by the medical workers in saving lives from the claws of Covid-19 should never go unnoticed, and rewardIT ing them for their efforts aids in boosting their morale.

“We truly appreciate your hard work and sacrifices. We continuall­y pray for you and your families’ good health and safety,” she said.

Thousands more healthcare frontliner­s are expected to benefit from Pagcor’s food distributi­on activity as volunteers from the agency are set to visit other hospitals around Metro Manila in the coming days.
