PBA teams to resume training

THE Meralco Bolts are set to begin training for the Philippine Basketball Associatio­n (PBA) Season 46 in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte. Both cities are under GCQ with heightened restrictio­ns which prohibit team scrimmages. However, permission from the LGUs to hold training, as well as the approval of the PBA and the GAB are enough to get the ball rolling.

A source from the Rain or Shine champ shared that the team will train at the Reyes Gym, while NorthPort team manager Bonnie Tan confirmed the Batang Pier will hold practice at the King’s Landing Gym in Cainta.

Both proposed trainings are still pending for approval from the PBA and GAB.

Meanwhile, most PBA teams are likely headed to Batangas City which is under GCQ with no heightened restrictio­ns.

The LGU of the city has already agreed to host the closed-circuit training of the teams, offering the Batangas City Coliseum, Batangas State University Gym and Lyceum of the Philippine­s University Batangas Gym as venues for training.
