New Rizal Park logo unveiled
THE National Parks Development Committee, an attached agency of the Department of Tourism, recently launched a new logo for Rizal Park, Luneta, as well as the Rizal Park Free Library and the Rizal Park Guide App, to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the martyrdom of Dr. Jose Rizal for Rizal Month while holding a special flag ceremony, attended by President Rodrigo Duterte on Dec. 30, 2021.
The reveal of the new Rizal Park, Luneta logo was held during the “Stop and Salute Flag Ceremony” in partnership with the Salute to a Clean Flag Movement (STACF) and the National Historical Commission of the Philippines, held at the site of the Rizal Monument and Independence Flagpole on December 27 at the Rizal Park, Luneta.
Soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines raised the Philippine flag with soprano Bernadette Mamauag singing the National Anthem as it was being translated by Filipino sign language interpreter, Christine Faye Garcia.
This was followed by a powerful rendition of the “Panunumpa ng Katapatan sa Watawat,” delivered by award-winning actor John Arcilla.

Committee’s Executive Director Cecille Lorenzana Romero officially welcomed the distinguished guests and awardees, commending them for being true Filipino nationalists and encouraging them to continue spreading the spirit of Philippine patriotism through their craft.
STACF founder and President Monique Pronove acknowledged the recent achievements of honorees Arcilla (Coppi Volpi for Best Actor, 78th Venice Film Festival) and Michael Villagante (Lorenzo il Magnifico Award, Florence Biennale Art Fair). The honorees were awarded Philippine flags in a woven case designed by Zarah Juan.
An inspirational closing message and personal anecdotes of Rizal’s life was given by Rizal’s great grand-nephew, Dr. Teodoro Herbosa, who also serves as special medical ddviser to the Covid-19 Special Task Force.
THE Department of Education (DepEd) recently launched a national calisthenic exercise program, which aimed to promote a healthy lifestyle and featured steps and movements from cultural dances in the Philippines.
DepEd, through the Bureau of Curriculum Development (BCD) and Special Program Division, named the program “Galaw Pilipinas: The national calisthenics exercises program.” Thus, galaw symbolized the different movements from the country’s treasured

GDC has implemented workplace health strategies to assure everyone’s safety when they go back to the office.
At Greenfield Tower, office spaces have high ceilings, a fresh air ducting system and operable windows, which promote better air circulation. To further protect employees and guests during the pandemic, the management of Greenfield Tower has put in place health and safety measures including temperature scanning for employees and guests, use of disinfectant mats all DepEd personnel, educators and learners from public and private schools nationwide to adopt the national calisthenic exercise as part of flag ceremonies and other morning activities.
