Vista Malls, Make-A-Wish PH grant wishes of 10 critically ill children

-

VISTA Malls partnered with MakeA-Wish Foundation Philippines to grant 10 wishes last Christmas.

Diagnosed with critical illnesses, the beneficiaries were children aged 3 to 17 that were bravely battling leukemia, congenital and rheumatic heart diseases.

Through their wish journey process, the children were referred to the foundation through its partner medical institutions, namely the Philippine General Hospital, the National Children’s Hospital, the Philippine Heart Center and the Batangas Medical Center.

During their wish capture step, the children wished for mobile gadgets to use for their online classes and for costumes of their favorite superheroes to use in the new year.

The partnership between Vista Mall’s corporate social arm, GiveA-Hope, and Make-A-Wish Foundation also granted the wishes of three lucky shoppers, who availed the Letters of Hope activity during the holidays.

Shoppers, who spent at least P2,000 from any of the Vista Mall or Starmall stores between Dec. 22, 2021 to Jan. 15, 2022, were able to join the promo.

Each participant was allowed to write up to two Christmas letters: a personal wish list and well-wishes for children with critical illnesses.

The Villar-led malls would make the wishes of three lucky shoppers come true at the end of the promo period.
