Water firm’s arms retain ISO seal

HAVING been able to sustain their efforts to provide-quality services and best practices to their consumers, the community and the country amid the ongoing pandemic, three PrimeWater (PW) branches in Central Luzon maintained their ISO 9001:2015 CERTIfiCATION SURVEILLANCE AUDIT.

The period in which the PW branches got the certification audit was during the last quarter of 2021 and first quarter of 2022 involving their local water district-joint venture partners, including water districts from Tarlac City, Tarlac, and Floridablanca and City of San Fernando in Pampanga.

Cezar Ong, PW operations head for North Luzon and Mindanao, over the weekend expressed optimism that the three branch-partners retaining the certification would inspire other branches to follow.

“We are proud that these branches managed to maintain their certification streak for years now. It only proves that the partnership offers top-notch processes and services to meet the highest standards of customer satisfaction. We aspire for the other branches to follow suit,” he said.

The City of San Fernando Water District (CSFWD) and the Floridablanca Water District (FWD) maintained their status in the surveillance audit in November and December 2021, respectively, while Tarlac City Water District (TCWD) passed the audit with the highest rating of “zero non-conformity” in January 2022 by German firm TUV NORD Philippines Inc., a globally-recognized certifying body for ISO standards.

These branches were part of PW’s joint venture partnership with local water districts to ensure that the water systems in the cities of San Fernando and Tarlac will be modernized to fulfill the growing demand and population in each area.

Among the several projects undertaken by the partnership include construction of 13 source development projects and increased pipe-laying works to 467 kilometers (km) in the City of San Fernando, building of four source developments and expansion of pipe-laying network to 35.384 km in Floridablanca, and drilling works for two source development projects and construction of two additional pumping stations, including a 1,000 cubic meter steel bolted glass-fused ground reservoir jointly undertaken in Tarlac City.

To date, the TCWD serves around 43,434 service connections, the FWD covers 26,152 and the CSFWD serves 57,036.
