Honda apologizes for HR-V arrival delay

HONDA Cars Philippine­s (HCP) has apologized for the delayed arrival of its new HR-V model.

In a statement on Saturday, HCP said the delay was caused by a parts shortage that hampered production volume.

“As we remain committed to providing our customers with world-class vehicles, we are appealing for more understand­ing on the delayed arrival of the all-new Honda HR-V,”a statement on the HCP Facebook page read. “This has been due to a global parts shortage that continues to hamper production volume, and the arrival schedule remains uncertain.”

On Friday, Honda Cars released the lineup of HR-V models equipped with Honda Sensing, which consists of six features: collision mitigation braking system; road departure mitigation with lane departure warning; lead car departure notificati­on system; adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow; lane keeping assist system; and auto high beam.

“The all-new HR-V is the first HR-V that features an advanced collision-free system: the Honda Sensing. With a state-of-the-art wide-angle camera and a high-speed image processing chip, the field of vision is wider, so the system detects the situation in front much faster. This gives you useful, really helpful driving assistance. It lets you drive with confidence even great for long drives,”a descriptio­n on their website wrote.

Honda assured customers that their welfare is foremost in their minds.

“We sincerely apologize for this situation,” Honda said. “Rest assured that our customers’ welfare is foremost in our minds. For your mobility needs, we offer the rest of our model lineup which we assure you are up to global standards.”
