Large-scale illegal recruiter nabbed

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Calamba City: A suspected illegal recruiter has been arrested by authorities on Friday, November 11, in Dasmariñas City, Cavite.

The Criminal Investigation Detection Group (CIDG) identified the suspect as Aljon Martin, male, 26 years old, single and a resident of Colorado St., Manuela Ville Subdivision, Barangay San Agustin 2, Dasmariñas City, Cavite.

Martin was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for large-scale illegal recruitment issued by Francisco Victor Collado Jr., presiding judge of Regional Trial Court, Branch 90, Dasmariñas City, Cavite, with no bail recommended.

CIDG Regional Field Unit 4A chief LtCol. Joel Manuel Ana said the suspect collected a large sum of money from six victims with a promise to deploy them for a job abroad. However, after collecting the money, the victim blocked them from his Facebook account and never showed up again.

Ana said the suspect is considered as one of the most wanted persons in the Calabarzon region.
