DPWH completes new school building in Pangasinan
DAGUPAN CITY: The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Pangasinan Second District Engineering Office has completed the construction of a two-story, four-classroom school building at Dulag Elementary School in Lingayen, Pangasinan.
Esperanza Tinaza, regional public information officer of DPWH-Ilocos, said the project has a contract amount of P12.5 million and was funded under the Department of Education’s 2021 Basic Educational Facilities Fund.
“With the new school building, students enrolled in Grades 1 to 6 can enjoy their new school with complete facilities,” Tinaza said.
“With the implementation of face-to-face classes soon to start, the newly constructed school building will significantly contribute to the school. The classrooms have good ventilation, furnished walls and ceilings, and comfort rooms. Water sprinklers, handrails, and elevated ramp/stairs were also included in the new building.”
The DPWH has been constructing new school buildings as part of its contribution to the educational sector’s efforts in making public school facilities conducive to learning.
