Cebu Pacific adds flights ahead of holidays

PHILIPPINE carrier Cebu Pacific (CEB) announced it is adding more flights for the holidays as it continues to boost its domestic and internatio­nal networks in response to high demand and easing of travel protocols.

Starting Dec. 1, 2022, and for its domestic network, CEB will increase its weekly flights from Cebu to Iloilo from 21 times to 25 times, Cebu to Dumaguete from 14 times to 18 times, and Cebu to Legazpi from seven times to 10 times.

Meanwhile, the airline’s Cebu-Surigao route will also have its weekly flights increased from seven times to 10 times and its Cebu to Pagadian from 10 times to 11 times.

Lastly, its Cebu-Tacloban route will have its flights increased from 25 times to 28 times starting Dec. 16, 2022.

CEB is also starting to widen its internatio­nal footprint as it adds more flights to Brunei, Jakarta, Seoul, Taipei and Hong Kong.

The airline will increase the flight frequencie­s of its Manila to Brunei route from two times to four times starting Nov. 27, 2022 until Jan. 15, 2023; Manila to Seoul from seven times to 14 times starting Dec. 1, 2022; Manila to Taipei from three times to seven times starting Dec. 10, 2022; and Manila to Hong Kong from 28 times to 32 times starting Dec. 11, 2022 until June 30, 2023.

Lastly, the Manila-Jakarta route will have two starting dates or five times starting Dec. 1, 2022, and seven times starting Dec. 10, 2022 until Jan. 31, 2023.

“We know that many are raring to travel again to their favorite local and foreign destinatio­ns. Right now, we are very excited to mount these additional flights as we approach the holiday season,” Cebu Pacific Chief Commercial Officer Xander Lao said.

To date, CEB flies to a total of 34 domestic and 19 internatio­nal destinatio­ns and continues to implement a multi-layered approach to safety while it operates with a 100-percent fully vaccinated crew, of which 97 percent have been boosted.
