Xendit online order system now free-to-use

-

Y COMBINATOR-BACKED startup Tablevibe announced it has partnered with Xendit and lastmile delivery companies to make its free online ordering system available to Philippine-based restaurants.

Through this initiative, restaurants will now be able to accept payments via credit cards, debit cards and e-wallets like GCash through a single integration.

The restaurant tech venture has successfully launched in Metro Manila as a result of the extraordinary demand for its solutions in Singapore and Australia.

“Our partnership with Tablevibe marks an essential step on our mission to build the digital infrastructure for Philippine-based businesses,” explained Yang Yang Zhang, Xendit managing director.

The global pandemic accelerated the shift to e-commerce in the food and beverage industry, and according to Tablevine, 70 percent of customers say they prefer ordering directly with restaurants, but most food and beverage operators need more tools to unlock directto-consumer relationships.

“We saw our global revenue surge more than 500 percent year on year. Together with our strong local partners, we are incredibly excited about redefining online ordering for restaurants and making their offerings even more accessible to food lovers across the Philippines,” Tablevibe Chief Operation Officer Mathieu Sneep said.

The start-up’s deep integration with delivery services allows restaurants to send out orders instantly without hiring their own drivers, as restaurants typically use their cost savings to partially cover delivery fees.

The partnership enables restaurants to set up a free webshop, and accept pickup and delivery orders directly from its customers, thereby avoiding third-party commissions.
