LAGUNA DRUG BUST YIELDS P100K WORTH OF SHABU

CAMP BGEN VICENTE P. LIM, Calamba City: An intensive surveillance and intelligence gathering led by the Drug Enforcement Unit of Biñan City Police Station has resulted in the arrest of three drug suspects and the seizure of suspected shabu in a buy-bust on Tuesday, November 22, at Barangay Platero, Biñan City. The drug suspects were identified as Andrei Carpeña, 23, resident of Barangay San Antonio, Biñan City; Viamayra Espeleta, 23, resident of Barangay Sto. Domingo, Biñan City; and Rafael Espeleta, resident of Barangay Pooc, Sta. Rosa City. They were listed as street-level individuals in the Biñan City Police drug list. Operatives managed to seize from the possession of the suspects 12 plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing roughly 16 grams valued at P104,000.00 and the drug-bust money. The suspects are now in the custody of Biñan City Police Station and are now facing charges for violation of section 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”
