BDO FOUNDATION DONATES TO 16,500 FAMILIES

In response to the devastatio­n of Typhoon ‘Paeng,’ BDO Foundation immediatel­y mounted relief operations for the benefit of thousands of Filipinos affected by the disaster. The corporate social responsibi­lity arm of BDO Unibank mobilized volunteers from partner parishes and social welfare offices of local government­s for the distributi­on of relief packs containing food, rice and drinking water in Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Cotabato, Maguindana­o and Zamboanga. A total of 16,500 families displaced by flash floods and landslides benefited from the initiative. Made possible with the support of officers of BDO and BDO Network Bank branches, the relief operations were the latest conducted by BDO Foundation in line with its disaster response advocacy. The foundation also provided relief goods to beneficiar­ies affected by Typhoons ‘Karding’ and ‘Neneng’ as well as the earthquake­s in Abra and Ilocos Sur.
