The 'Best Dressed's' dazzling is back

- BECKY GARCIA

FINALLY, after a hiatus of more than two years, the Best Dressed Women of Philippines’ (BDWP) like-minded committee staged a very successful comeback at the Grand Ballroom of The Shangri-la The Fort, Bonifacio Global City.

More than 600 beautiful and glamorous people gathered for the 19th Annual Philippines’ Best

Dressed ball for a purpose. Since 2004, the Best Dressed Women of the Philippines Awards Ball has never wavered in its advocacy to raise funds for the Philippine Cancer Society to provide resources to treat underprivileged patients.

Time and again, the event had its indefatigable chairperson, Consul Helen Ong, leading the committee with a balance of power and kindness. Her philanthropic efforts, together with the BDWP Committee members, have indeed grown in importance, especially in these precarious times, and allowed the event to reach its goal of giving back to cancer survivors and shedding light on their amazing plight.

For the year 2022, the Philippine Cancer Society and the Best Dressed Women of the Philippines decided on a Filipino lady statue as its official trophy for the awardees — the epitome of a modern, strong, kindhearted and exemplary woman who is not only successful but consistently pays-it-forward by lifting and helping others.

The committee hopes that the new trophy will encourage and inspire other women to leverage this powerful platform to share, connect and make a positive change in the lives of many.
