CSWDO head Liza Bulayungan said the two-day training aims to highlight the development and enrichment of knowledge, attitude, and skills of fathers in performing their roles and responsibilities.

After the activity, participants together with the social workers assigned in their respective villages committed to implementing Erpat in their barangay to educate and involve more men in responsible parenting. Erpat has eight modules discussed by social workers and trained facilitators.

Part of the module training includes Accepting my Role as a Father; Becoming my Wife’s Best Friend; Fathers as Child Caregivers, among other important topics.

Jahred Khan Tuason of the City Health Services Office shared with the participants about male involvement in responsible parenthood and family planning.
