Initial investigation showed that personnel of the 2nd Kalinga Provincial Mobile Force (PMFC) received information that an individual is attempting to transport marijuana products from Tinglayan to Tabuk City.

Acting on the information, an interdiction operation was launched by several law enforcement units in Sitio Dinacan, Barangay Dangoy, Lubuagan, Kalinga. While passing through a checkpoint in the area, a vehicle suspiciously sped off toward the direction of Pasil.
