YOU can now change your tune from “Pare ko, meron akong problema” to “Gusto mo bang sumama,” because producers of the sold-out “Huling El Bimbo-Eraserheads Reunion Concert 2022” have announced the expansion of venue capacity at the SMDC Festival Grounds to accommodate more concert-goers on December 22.

Since the upcoming concert of Filipino rock icons Ely Buendia, Raymund Marasigan, Buddy Zabala and Marcus Adoro will definitely be their last in the Philippines, organizers are still doing all they can to add as many tickets as they can to the one-night-only spectacle.

“This will be the last reunion of the group. That’s why we want to give the fans one last epic show,” co-producer and WEU President Francis Lumen expressed.

Diane Ventura, another co-producer and well-known manager of lead vocalist Ely Buendia, confirmed, “Yes, this is indeed the last reunion” and why the show is aptly dubbed “Huling El Bimbo.”

It can be recalled that tickets to the longanticipated reunion sold out just four days from the beginning of sales in early October. In fact, it was Buendia himself who gave the update on October 10 via Instagram, graciously thanking everyone for such an overwhelming response. He thoughtfully added, “Thank you for supporting Filipino artists. We will try to make this an unforgettable experience for all of you.”

In his latest interview, Buendia said the Huling El Bimbo won’t be like any previous reunion concerts. “Because we love our fans, we want to give them something different here. It’s the beginning of a new chapter in our lives, and we also want them to have a special memory of Eraserheads as we move forward.”

Honored to be chosen as concert director for the hottest ticket of the year, Paolo Valenciano added, “Mounting an Eraserhead’s show is no easy feat. But this is no ordinary show. It’s their last and final act in the Philippines; that’s why we are making sure it’s a show that would etch in the memories of all of us fans, me included.”

Taking the anticipation several notches higher, he also announced, “Watch out for the drone show and a hologram of the late Francis M.”

The reunion concert is Eraserheads’ gift to fans just days before Christmas, deserving nothing but all-out production. Expect an 18-piece orchestra to play the music of the Philippines’ own fab four with the genius of Mel Villena as musical director.

“The concert promises an unforgettable musical experience of Eraserheads,” he said.

Rounding up all the energy and excitement surrounding this epic event, Ventura spoke again and vowed, “It will be a spectacular visual and auditory experience, and the audience should expect the unexpected. It will be unlike anything ever produced and seen in the country, befitting the legacy of the band.”

The Huling El Bimbo - Eraserheads Reunion Concert 2022 is a joint production of WEU Event Management Services, Ant Savvy Creatives and Entertainment Inc., DVent Productions and Myriad Entertainment Corporation. It is presented by Smart, Coke Studio, PLDT, Angkas, and Maya and co-presented by SM Supermalls in participation with San Miguel Corporation and Okada Manila.

Yes! Tickets are still available at SM Tickets outlets and online.
