Wilcon opens 84th store in Guiguinto
WILCON Depot, the country’s leading retailer of home improvement and construction supplies, launched its 84th store in Guiguinto, Bulacan on Friday.
Wilcon Depot Guiguinto is the fourth location to open in the province of Bulacan, with the branch strategically located in Barangay Tuktukan.
It has 8,000 square meters of selling area and accommodates an extensive selection of high-quality local and international brands ranging from tiles, sanitary wares, plumbing, furniture, home interior, building materials, hardware, electrical, and appliances to other do-it-yourself items.
“As the leading home improvement and construction supply retailer, our commitment doesn’t limit us to just providing home and builders products but, at the same time, giving our valued customers an excellent shopping experience. In bringing Wilcon Depot here again in Bulacan, we recognize it as a great opportunity to continue our legacy of unparalleled services,” Depot SEVP-COO Rosemarie Bosch-Ong said during the grand opening.
The first Wilcon Depot in Bulacan was opened in the City of Baliwag in July 2010. The second and third locations opened in the City of San Jose del Monte and Calumpit town in June 2020.
Joining Bosch-Ong in the ribbon-cutting ceremony were Bulacan Fifth District Rep. Ambrosio Cruz Jr., Guiguinto Mayor Agatha Paula Cruz and Vice Mayor Banjo Estrella.
The grand opening celebration began with a motorcade, announcing the store’s official launch followed by a Mass and blessing administered by Fr. Cenon Dennis Santos and Fr. Cristian Sison.
Cruz thanked the management of Wilcon Depot for choosing their town as it will generate jobs for her fellow Guiguinteños.
“We have a standing municipal ordinance giving incentives to our employers for those who will provide 100 percent employment, and we require a 70/30 ratio for Guiguinteño employees,” Cruz said.
