Baliwag Mega Job Fair offers 5,890 jobs
THE provincial government of Bulacan concluded a three-day Mega Job Fair at The Greenery Resort on Saturday, February 17, where around 5,890 job openings were made available.
The job fairs with a theme “FEB-Love for Bulakenyo,
Work and Tourism” was organized by Bulacan through the Provincial Public Employment Service, Damayang Filipino Movement and the Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE) Region
3 (Central Luzon).
A total of 42 companies participated in the job fairs including seven overseas agencies and 35 local companies, offering various international vacancies and career opportunities in Bulacan and nearby provinces for qualified applicants, newly graduates and unemployed.
Among the international agencies that joined the job fair were Pisces International Placement Corp., Staffhouse International Resources, Rensol Recruitment, FMW Human Resources International Corp., Bison Management Corp., ERRX Recruitment Consulting, Jobsite General Services Inc., RM Foods Inc., Automan Service and Parts Eyequest International Manpower Service Inc. and Alfamart.
Gov. Daniel Fernando said he hopes that with the frequent conduct of job fairs, many unemployed and newly graduated Bulakenyos would get hired.
Geraldine Panlilio, regional director of DoLE Region 3, lauded the province for its initiative to hold job fairs regularly for Bulakenyos without permanent jobs.
There is also a one-stopshop processing, offering services from different government agencies such as Pag-IBIG, Social Security System, PhilHealth and Philippine Statistics Authority during the job fairs.
According to Athenie Bautista, officer in charge of Damayang Filipino Inc., the three-day job fairs was in support of the province’s bid to provide jobs to Filipinos and reduce the number of jobless Filipinos.
Former Baliuag mayor Rolando Salvador, owner of The Greenery Resort, said he is ready to support similar programs in letting his facility be used for free.
A medical mission will also be held in the next few months at The Greenery Resort Baliuag, which will be organized also by the provincial government.
