ONE YEAR LATER
Ayear ago by the time this issue is released, it will have been a full year since Alexander Diaz first fronted the cover of MEGA Man. While he was joined by David Guison and LA Aguinaldo, two fine young gentlemen breaking steady ground in the digital terrain, Alex is completely on his own now— and with good reason, too.
In an issue grounded on the concept of creation, the man of many hats is the perfect realization thereof. An actor, content creator, fitness instructor, and now, events creative director, Alex Diaz has a full and firm grasp from imagination down to reality.
With his days packed to the brim, it can be assumed that it would be near impossible to wiggle him out for a shoot and interview schedule, but as he is generous with his time, he met us bright and early on a Tuesday morning to bring this collaboration to life. While the rest of us were only beginning to acquiesce to the day, he was already bursting with energy, breezing through the necessary pleasantries and actually getting into genuine conversations with everyone on set. Every moment was a cover story moment, but for him, it is just who he is. Earnest and interested, Alex Diaz brought to life the latest crop of fashion from recent local fashion weeks with more than enough verve than it aesthetically required.
More than the visual, however, there seemed to be much more life to him when we settled for a conversation after the shoot wrapped up. In a dialogue best described as
necessary, Alex Diaz reveals a deeper, more distilled understanding of the intricacies of life—highs, lows, and the inevitable inbetweens considered. Tenacity and talent aside, this young man has a sense of control that will no doubt help steer him into far greater heights than perhaps he can even imagine at this point. And let me tell you, he has quite the imagination. So, just imagine the possibilities, which go without saying, are endless at this point.
