DESCRIBE A REGULAR DAY IN YOUR LIFE. WHAT KEEPS YOU
BUSY? My day normally comprises of three things: managing a watch and jewelry shop, participating in dance classes and spending quality time with my friends and family. I’m also focused on beautifying our new home and I try to be as hands-on as possible in selecting the pieces that match our personal aesthetics.
WHAT HAVE BEEN THE HIGHLIGHTS OF YOUR YEAR SO FAR?
My year started great! I spent my most memorable birthday so far in El Nido with my best friends. I was also able to fly to LA and NYC with my hubby [Gio] to visit his family and squeeze in street wear shopping! My career is also doing well. My best girl friend Issa and I flew to Osaka for work and we’re also due to fly to Mexico this month for another engagement!
APART FROM FASHION, WHAT FIELDS OR ACTIVITIES INTEREST YOU?
I’m really into arts and sports. I like dancing and other physical activities such as wall climbing, muay thai, boxing and yoga.
DESCRIBE YOUR AESTHETIC! WHAT IS YOUR STYLE PHILOSOPHY?
Street style or chic street style! Just wear anything you feel like wearing at that moment. One day you’ll see me in a huge shirt and ragged jeans, the next you’ll see me in a cute dress. It’s just really how you carry yourself and the vibe.
ARE YOU A PLANNER OR A SPUR-OF-THE-MOMENT
DRESS ER? Both. But this really depends on my mood! For regular night-outs, I could say that I’m a spur-of-the-moment dresser, but when traveling, I could say that I’m more of a planner. I like planning out my outfits for every activity when traveling.
DO YOU HAVE ANY STYLE ICONS WHOM YOU LOOK UP TO?
I like Rie Hata’s style. Her street style is adorable and inspiring. I’m all about comfort and utility!
WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST FASHION INVESTMENT?
Iwill forever remember my first LV tote bag. I still use it because [of] it’s sentimental [value].
PICK YOUR POISON: BAGS OR SHOES? Both! I like combining different looks so I need them both
WHO ARE YOUR FAVORITE DESIGNERS OR BRANDS LOCALLY OR ABROAD? WHY DO YOU LIKE THESE IN PARTICULAR?
For local designers, I’m really in awe of the pieces by Sam Richelle, Martin Bautista and Vania Romoff. For global brands, I’m drawn towards Gucci, Maison Margiela, Virgil Abloh and Comme des Garçons. I chose these brands because these designer labels speak to me and I find them very unique and distinct. For me, no other brands could replicate their aesthetic.
