A GOOD FIT

- By TRINA EPILEPSIA BOUTAIN Photography KIERAN PUNAY of STUDIO 100

Three things we learned about Julie Anne San Jose as an artist: First: She’s punctual. Julie Anne did the amazing celebrity feat of being on time for her cover shoot. This isn’t to shame other personalities, who have to abide by a ridiculous work schedule and an even more ridiculous traffic situation. It was just odd to see the young singer-model-actress enter Shutterspace Studio while everybody was still nursing their coffees. Nevertheless, her vibe, all bubbly positivity and sweet-smiling gameness, was exactly what we needed in what would be a marathon shoot.

Second: She looks amazing in her jeans. Nothing, it seems, comes between her and her Lee denims. With her svelte physique and easy charm, Julie Anne looks the way we all want to when donning denim—cool and effortless. Whether it’s a Canadian tuxedo sassed up with thigh-high boots or a ruffled, off-shoulder denim dress, the multi-instrumentalist multi-hyphenate made every look her own.

Third: The lady can take a mean selfie. A peek into the studio’s dressing room saw the Vivo ambassador expertly taking photos and selfies. With her full lips, radiant skin and piercing eyes, Julie Anne doesn’t need much help looking good on camera, the but with the Vivo V17 Pro, which features a dual pop-up selfie camera setup, 32 MP normal and 8MP ultrawide angle camera (the better to get everyone in the shot), and the ultra-flattering Softlight and Night Selfie modes, every candid photo that Julie Anne snapped was picture-perfect.

And the rest of her? High energy? Unabashed singing prowess? That seemingly innate grace to look cover-worthy clad only in jeans and a t-shirt? A gracious, unaffected manner and obvious smarts? Those were apparent from the get-go. They’re what make Julie Anne San Jose a star.
