ON MANAGING HER TIME:
"My day starts very early; two of my three kids go to school so you cannot imagine the noise we make as early as 5:30 in the morning. When everyone has left, I indulge in some ‘me time’ by doing my skincare regimen. Then after getting ready, I head to work. Most days are spent in the office, if I do not have external meetings. I learned that discipline is best when juggling my personal and work lives. I make sure to have dinner with my family and enjoy a bit of play time with my two younger kids.”
ON HER SKINCARE REGIMEN: "I start with the KIEHL’S Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Wash then with the KIEHL’S Calendula Alcohol-Free Toner to prep my skin for more products. During the day time, I switch between KIEHL’S Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate and the KIEHL’S Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution. I cap it off with an oil-free moisturizer and sunscreen, the KIEHL’S Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream and KIEHL’S Ultra-Light Daily UV Defense Aqua Gel. These products do the job while keeping the shine at bay. At night, I like products that speed up the skin renewal process, namely KIEHL’S Nightly Refining Micro-Peel Concentrate and the cult favorite KIEHL’S Midnight Recovery Concentrate.”
ON WHAT SHE HAS LEARNED FROM KIEHL’S: "Kiehl’s has very strong values, specifically centering on the act of giving. This made me easily fall in love with the brand. They taught me that beauty is beyond your appearance and that you should focus on what you are made of instead.”
ON HER EVERYDAY HAIR AND MAKEUP LOOK:
"I usually wear a ‘no makeup’ makeup look. I like keeping the made up look for events or special occasions. It easily differentiates me from my typical look so you know that those moments are special. For hair, I like it simple—you know, those wash and wear types. This means that the cut has to be beautiful. For hair products, I currently love KIEHL’S Olive Fruit Oil Deeply Repairative Hair Pak. Another thing I can’t live without are the hair treatments from Kérastase!”
ON HER BEAUTY PHILOSOPHY: "I came across one of Shu Uemura’s sayings that said something like this: beautiful makeup starts with beautiful skin. For someone like me who doesn’t put on heavy makeup, having great skin as a base is very important. I have learned this over the years, so now I invest.”
