SIGN OF THE TIMES
The turn of the new year usually signifies a severe shift. Whether it be of temperament, point-of-view, or physical change, this curious pivot in the calendar allows a point of introspection and realization that hopefully trickles throughout the rest of the year. Most opportune as it is, there is only a swelling surge of hope that things get better than what has gone by.
Thus, it only felt fitting to view the first foray into future with a lens of calm as manifested by a corner set of alternating pastels, which was the perfect canvas to the light as air hues that dominated the fashion selection for this shoot. The only thing missing? Our cover star of course. Without missing a beat, Kit Thompson enters the room in the same state unbothered tranquillity as the scene before him.
Easily towering over the collective rest, he navigates through the pleasantries and gets to work immediately. A true testament to his professionalism, the easy-to-direct and actor is clearly made for the camera, effortlessly switching from brooding heartthrob to that aww-shucks boy-next-door vibe.
There is an unmistakable state of lightness to him, something that translates well into the way we want to see things from here on out. Yes, there will always be something to prove, something to say, and most importantly, something to do. While that still persists with enough aggression to spring us forward, there now exists an understanding that you don’t have to go hard or else you’ll go home. Any efforts will stack up to an end that is nothing but right and deserving of and by you. Welcome to the new year, a new age, and fittingly, a new you.
