Whet your appetite with the hottest new restos in the metro

Sen-ryo Philippines’ simple yet indulgent dishes will have you coming back for more

Craving for authentic Japanese cuisine? The same owners who brought you Mango Tree, Genki Sushi, Cocina Peruvia and Kureji opens the very first Sen-ryo branch in the Philippines at the Ground Level of the Podium Mall in Mandaluyong City. Sen-ryo is a premium sushi concept from Tokyo, Japan which strives to combine the freshest ingredients, traditional techniques and modern technology to deliver you unforgettable dishes. The restaurant prides itself on its quality nigiri, sashimi and kushiyaki, among its other dishes. Fresh ingredients are flown in from Japan and are used to prepare each dish with the utmost care.

We recommend starting with the Chawanmushi with Cheese (P280), a steamed egg custard with shredded cheese and bell pepper. Follow this up with their fresh sashimi, such as Salmon (P450) and Yellow Tail (P650). Other favorites include the Snow Shrimp Roll (P580)—California roll topped with onions and premium shrimp—and Assorted Tempura (P580). Don’t forget to try their Scallop Skewers (P380) and their Wagyu Beef Skewers (P450) as well. Before leaving, get your hands on one of their desserts: their Ohagi Mochi (P250) and Apple Tempura (P250) will surely satisfy anyone with a sweet tooth.

Imagine eating all of this with a luxe yet relaxing backdrop—think interiors made with wood and metal that were made to remind one of nature. Simple yet full of personality, just like their dishes.

Sen-ryo Philippines is located at Ground Level, The Podium Mall, Mandaluyong. For more information, follow Sen Ryo on Facebook and Instagram at @senryoPH.
