CLEAN SLATE

This issue marks MEGA’s 28th anniversary. As we celebrate this milestone we found it fitting to celebrate with a change— just before we hit 30. As you peruse this month’s issue, I hope you see and feel a different MEGA, one that is energetic, exciting and new. From cover to inside pages, we’ve done an overhaul on the magazine— notice that fonts, texts, layouts are new along with our content and editorials. Our purpose is to create an ever evolving product, one that is dynamic and moves along to the ever changing demands of our readers. We also found it apt to commemorate this breakthrough by bringing back our successful installment of the #MakingMEGA series, and this time it brought us to sunny and sexy Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. While it is true that there is so much history behind the reason why we chose this destination, (more on this next month) we felt that it was our time to explore more of this place and tell another story. A city after all, has many tales to tell. The cover star was also a key element. We didn’t have to look far to decide it has to be a woman who is fearless, daring and authentic—traits that I believe are essential to the new MEGA Woman. A multi-hyphenate, style icon, musician, actress and creative director, Nadine Lustre is the perfect muse to launch our anniversary issue. Needless to say, it is quite serendipitous that we chose her to headline this feat, as she herself is undergoing a big change. As she debuts a new chapter in her life, may her new direction also inspire us to take risks and embrace the unknown. Because truly, how many of us can say that we are granted a chance to begin again, to start anew? Not many I suppose. So when it does, I suggest you seize the moment and take it.

Enjoy the issue!
