Sometimes, the best motivation to keep on powering through everyday life is just having a few minutes to talk to your besties. It’s about the support and mutual understanding that we all need. Last March 5, 2021, Rustan’s The Beauty Source held a Facebook live event that shared exactly these to motivated dream-chasers with Rustan’s Beauty Addict GRLPWR: Make It Happen. Hosted by Marie Lozano, the event featured vibrant and enlightening discussions on motivations, womanhood, style, and sensibilities.
When it comes to girl power, having a fearless attitude is key. It’s no surprise that the reputable Pinky Webb answered the call to share a few insights on advocating your beliefs and values as you continue your passions. “I think in each and every one of us, we want to be able to stand up for what is right. That’s innate in every person.” However, if the pursuit of your life-long dreams leads you to uncharted territory, don’t shudder in fear. As Janina Manipol shared, “I think everyone should learn how to move forward and adapt to what we have now… Your greatest power is your perspective,” she shared.
With these adjustments, Nikki Huang asserts that a woman’s true strength comes from within–a mental confidence that starts with yourself. “You decide your value. Don’t let others decide that for you… Women are held up to so many standards… and I think it’s important for us women to remember that our power and our success ultimately comes from being able to have agency over our lives.” And if the outside noise gets too loud, Joey Mead King reminds us to center ourselves through meditation and find activities that not only bring joy, but fulfillment as well.
In the end, celebrating womanhood should always be in the pursuit of staying grounded to your aspirations and being true to yourself. “If you have a dream, pursue them. Do not be afraid to fail because sometimes the best stories are the ones who have actually gone through many cycles in life. Don’t lose hope,” Pinky shared. In finding who you truly are, Joey left everyone with a question to ponder on: “What is it about you that you want to marry and be with forever?
