THE PASHA SAGA
The Pasha de Cartier, celebrated for its enduring styles and glimmer of power, takes its place as the timeless achiever’s watch
First found on the wrists of Parisian men in 1985, the Pasha de Cartier was first designed with the intent to showcase power and the utter joy of horology. Named after the Pasha of Marrakesh, a lover of fine watch-making and lifelong customer of Louis Cartier, the watch crystallized the success of an entire generation with its extraordinary diameter, chained crown, and a body entirely in yellow gold. Soon, women took it from the men for the power it exudes, fronted fashion magazines, and made the watch synonymous with the desire for liberation. Ultra-contemporary and ultra-visible, it has become the standout watch of popular fashion editors and even international clientele.
THE RETURN OF AN ICON
The iconic Pasha watch originating in the archives and dating back to 1943 made its return in 2020 by inaugurating new, unique, and diverse creative projects that set them apart from previous generations.
Faithful to the original model but even more sophisticated with its sapphire crown, interchangeable strap, and its multiple possibilities of personalization, the Pasha de Cartier watch for the 2020s is classic yet contemporary and remains as edgy as ever. THE INNER CIRCLE
No celebration would be complete without your friends. For this newest iteration of Pasha, the Maison got in touch with a handful of unique personalities who are changing the codes of success by forging exceptional and diverse paths of creativity. This Pasha community calls for the forging of new, exceptional paths towards achievement— transcending preconceived ideas and challenging the norms that loom over society.
The Maison entrusted the articulation of this vision to New York fashion photographer Craig Mc Dean, with images centered around the new Pasha ambassadors Rami Malek, Troye Sivan, Willow Smith, Maisie Williams, and Jackson Wang. They lead with a professional and non-conforming attitude, echoing the spirit of Pasha de Cartier that transcends decades of design and fashion.
Style, character, energy, pulse—the Pasha watch has always appealed to those who think big and, to this day, is worn by leaders who strive to cultivate their own uniqueness. Even almost four decades later, the Pasha has kept its strength as a symbol of the Maison’s heritage.
