MEGA MAN

When news broke that the first case of COVID-19 was declared in Metro Manila, it caused distress among our employees, as they had thought that it may cost their jobs should things get out of control. It had been initially difficult to cope with the situation, given that everyone had been paranoid and fearful of the pandemic. To address this, we established safety measures within our office in compliance with the guidelines set by the government and health institutions.

Although our operations have come to a halt due to the enhanced community quarantine, the company is doing its best to continue supporting not just its own people, but those directly affected by the pandemic, as well. Our production crew willingly created PPE suits for the frontliners.

It was heartwarming and inspiring to see the good deeds of others as they use their time and resources to help in any way they can. This, to me, proved that the concept of bayanihan among Filipinos is strong and well-founded. It made me believe that there had been hope within this crisis.

In this time of crisis, what we need is unity. We must share the same goal of curbing the disease and saving our countrymen by strictly following protocol as a means of looking after one another. Together, as a nation, we can move forward.—PA

“BAYANIHAN IS AN ADMIRABLE SENSE OF HEROISM DEEPLY ROOTED IN OUR CULTURE, AND TO BE ABLE TO WITNESS AND BE PART OF SUCH AN ACT GIVES ME AN OVERWHELMING SENSE OF PRIDE”
