Pets, health, food, and travel—here are the inspiration you need to live your best life

-

WHAT MAKES YOU feel good? For me, the first thing that comes to mind is my routine of hitting the pavement every morning and running 10 to 12 kilometers. I cannot stress how much running has transformed my mindset and my body. I love being able to lace up my running shoes, listen to my music, and tune out the rest of the world for a solid hour. (I would recommend it to anyone; it’s worked as an instant mood booster for me and sets the pace for my day ahead.) Another thing that makes me happy is really good food. I love everything about food—shopping for it, cooking the dishes, and then finally, digging into it. On the topic of food, I love traveling and discovering more cuisines and layers of flavor. I think my love for food is definitely directly linked to my love for travel; they both bring me so much joy. And of course, we can’t forget, shopping! I may not buy too many things but I do enjoy shopping, wisely, of course, opting for exquisitely made timeless classics that will last me years to come.

Whatever it is that brings a smile on your face, I invite you to take a moment to reflect on them. I welcome you to our annual Feel Good issue, which seeks out and calls you to do more of that. Maybe it’s as simple as going outside for a walk or making plans with friends, just go do it! After all, this life is much too short to spend our days less than feeling our best and being authentically happy, don’t you agree?

It is fitting, I feel, that we have Bea Tantoco-Reyes on the cover of this particular issue. Bea is dressed in the fall-winter season’s eyecatching Loewe looks and adorned with the most elegant jewelry and accessories by Charriol, photographed by photographer Seven Barretto, one of my favorite talents to work with at the moment, at picture-perfect Villa 1140 by Casanuova. Someone whom I have found to always be incredibly authentic, Bea has truly come into her own now in her life’s path. In a wonderfully written story by Leah Puyat, she reveals pieces of her life with such quiet confidence and ease. The free-spirited singer, purposeful wife, mother, and marketing advocate for natural haven Sta. Elena is proof that a spiritual path can also lead to practical and mundane joys. She also spoke about some things that “spark joy” for her, and she had a mixed bag of simple tasks: “Being near a body of water and lying by the ocean or swimming pool, having bedroom concerts at home singing and dancing like no one is watching while trying out various outfits, experimenting in the kitchen and creating ketofriendly dishes, getting a massage or a facial, applying facial oils for emotional, spiritual, and mental balance, checking out Pinterest and getting inspired by interior design.” After reading this story, I hope you are as inspired as I was. Tap into your heart and soul, and always follow your bliss, wherever it takes you.

Following this splendid cover story is our much-awaited annual Muttro Society. This year was a riot to shoot and it definitely shows in the pages you have in your hands. In this edition, featured are Mariel Quiros, Erica Mañosa, Nicole Hernandez, Cat Juan-Ledesma, Marc Nelson, Looie Lobregat, Irina del Rosario, Raphael Lao, Jun Escario, Gianna and Grand Benedicto, Kevin Lao, Marco Katigbak, Zsa Zsa Padilla, May Te and Angel Chua, Selina and Juliana Ocampo, Seven Barretto, Small Laude, Niko del Rosario and Emmanuelle Camcam, Christian Mark Jacobs, Monique Borja-Gonzales, Sofia Zobel-Elizalde, and Chuchu Madrigal-Eduque. The team and I enjoyed meeting their fur babies. I am certain you will all enjoy, too.

After, fly to Milan with me as Metro Society gets front row access to Alessandro Michele’s latest genius collection with Gucci. Then it’s off to Singapore with Patek Philippe for the Watch Art Grand Exhibition. Then, meet our Versus superstars, Alfie and Darcy, two Dachshunds that will melt your heart and make you smile from ear to ear.

For this issue, we have a special edition of Entertaining with Flair as we feature the cutest dog party you’ll ever see in your life! In Curbside, zoom around the city with AG Puyat in the new Mercedes-Benz CLA 180, a smooth ride that will definitely make you feel good. In Wellness, try some candle-lit hot Vinyasa yoga to music at new boutique studio, Other Movement.
