Bars don’t always have respectable music (taste is relative, but some music really is just better than others. There, I said it), but Oto is a music lover’s dream! With audiophile owners, Oto (“sound” in Japanese) has an altar to beautiful music in the form of a turntable booth surrounded by an impressive selection of vinyl records and an undeniable hi-fi audio system.

While music is a huge plus, it’s not exactly what makes a bar, a bar. But even by those standards, Oto has something to say—it wasn’t named one of Asia’s top 50 bars in 2019 for nothing. Their finely trained bartenders and baristas are of world-class caliber, often representing the bar and the country in international competitions—from Hong Kong to Edinburgh—some of which they’ve won.
