Group creates more `inclusive chamber’
DAVAO City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (DCCCII) opens meetings to the public as it features Singapore trade on Feb 27 In line with its program to create a more inclusive chamber, the Davao Chamber announced yesterday that all its general membership meetings will be open to the larger business community
to help it stay abreast of developments, issues and opportunities.
DCCCII president Arturo Milan said that the organization aims to bring the broader business community in step with growth opportunities and work together to surmount identified concerns.
“In particular we are reaching out to the small and medium industries that are the backbone of our region’s economy. Without them growing, we will not grow as well,” he explained.
On its official Facebook page, DCCCII announced that the upcoming General Membership meeting at the SEDA Hotel on February 27 at 9am will feature a presentation by the Singapore embassy led by Zhou Suli, charge d’ affairs.
The focus will be on agricultural trade and supply of food to Singapore and tourism opportunities between the two cities. Two airlines fly from Davao to and from Singapore, with each contributing to what amounts to a daily flight.
